Ho Chi Minh City allows restaurants and eateries serving on site

On the afternoon of October 27, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City issued a document on the opening of food service business.

 Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee allows on-site food service from October 28, but do not sell or allow customers to use alcoholic beverages at the restaurant.

The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City requires restaurants providing food services that are served on-site to meet the provisions of the set of criteria for safety assessment in the prevention and control of COVID-19 for food service ssued together with Decision 3677 of the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control of Ho Chi Minh City.

In the situation that the COVID-19 epidemic is still sophisticatedd, there are many potential risks of disease transmission, so the operation of restaurants must be organized to ensure safety, except for wedding restaurants holding, restaurants at hotels and tourist accommodation, it is proposed that other restaurants must close before 9pm daily and be served up to 50% capacity.

In addition, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City assigned the People's Committee of District 7 and the People's Committee of Thu Duc City to consider and decide specifically the areas under their management to pilot the business of selling and using food services. The pilot implementation period is until the end of November 15. After this period, the Chairman of People's Committee of District 7 and Thu Duc city hold an assessment, report and propose to People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City as a basis for further implementation and replication in other areas.

 After the pilot implementation period, the Chairman of the People's Committees of District 7 and Thu Duc City assessed and learned from experience to report and propose the City People's Committee to have a pedal to continue implementing and replicating in other areas.
