How to receive support package from the Unemployment Insurance Fund from October 1, 2021?

On September 30, Vietnam Social Security recommended that employees should prepare some information so that receiving support from the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UI) is the most convenient, fast and accurate.

Implementing Resolution No. 116/NQ-CP of the Government, from October 1, 2021, social insurance agencies across the country will implement policies to support employees affected by the COVID-19 pandemic from October 1, 2021. UI Fund. To ensure that the payment of support policies reaches employees quickly and accurately, Vietnam Social Security recommends that employees prepare some information.

First, information about the process of participating in unemployment insurance and not yet receiving unemployment benefits to review and compare with the data of the social insurance agency, to help determine the right level of support.

Employees can know their unemployment insurance participation time through:

- Your own social insurance book.

- Application VssID

- Digital Social Insurance on smartphones

- Look up the process of participating in social insurance and unemployment insurance through the web portal of Vietnam Social Insurance, located at: https://baohiemxahoi.gov.vn

- Lookup message service via Call Center 8079: Compose a message with the syntax: BH QT social insurance number to 8079. (The social insurance number is the code on the social insurance book or the last 10 digits on the employee's health insurance card).

- Call the Customer Care and Consulting Center of Vietnam Social Insurance: 19009068.

Note: The process of participating in unemployment insurance, looking up through the above methods, may include the time of participation and enjoying unemployment benefits of employees , so it is for reference only.

In addition, Employees should prepare a personal bank account to receive support money quickly and conveniently.

For employees who already have a personal bank account, the information they need to provide to receive support is:

+ Name of the bank opening the account (including branch name)

+ Bank account number

+ The National Identity Card to open a bank card.

Note: The name of the account holder must match the name of the support recipient. The number of People's Identity Card or Citizen's Identity Card must be the same as the number of the Employee's Identity Card or Citizen's Identity Card used to open a bank account..

For employees who do not have a bank account, Vietnam Social Security recommends that employees open a personal bank account to receive support quickly and accurately. Nowadays, it is very convenient to open a personal bank account. Many banks already have an online account opening service. Employees only need a smartphone, computer or laptop and an internet connection to be able to perform this service.

Finally, employees need to prepare a phone number to insurance agency to facilitate the contact between the social insurance agency and the employee if needed.
