Reduce 37 fees and charges until June 2022

On December 24, 2021, the Ministry of Finance issued Circular No. 120/2021/TT-BTC regulating the collection of a number of fees and charges in order to overcome difficulties caused by Covid-19.

Accordingly, there are 37 fees and charges to be reduced from 10-50% compared to the current regulations, including fields such as banking, aviation, securities, construction investment, labor safety, etc. citizen identification fee, road toll... from January 1, 2022 to the end of June 30, 2022.

In addition, the Ministry of Finance continued to add 3 fees and charges to the list of reduced fees and charges.

Specifically, 50% reduction on fees for issuance of certificates of technical safety and environmental protection for motor vehicles and special-use motorbikes, 50% reduction in inland waterway reporting fees, 20% reduction for charges for the use of radio frequencies for the terrestrial mobile service (e.g. private messaging terrestrial mobile telecommunications network and a dedicated telecommunications network using frequencies in the mobile service, mobile telecommunications network trunk earth quake).

As for the citizen identification fee, Circular 120 stipulates that people only have to pay 50% of the current prescribed fee rate.

- Citizens change from 9-digit ID card, 12-digit ID card to Chip-Based ID Card: 15,000 VND/CCCD card.

- Change the citizen's identity card when it is damaged and cannot be used; change information about surname, middle name, first name; identity characteristics; re-determination of gender, hometown; there is an error in the information on the card; when citizens request: 25,000 VND/CCCD card.

- Re-issuance of citizen's identity card when losing chip-based ID Card, regaining Vietnamese nationality according to the provisions of the Law on Vietnamese nationality: 35,000 VND/CCCD card.

The Circular takes effect from January 1, 2022 to the end of June 30, 2022.

From July 1, 2022 onward, the above-mentioned fees and charges shall comply with the provisions of the original Circulars and the Circulars amending, supplementing or replacing (if any).
