Increase standard of social assistance to 90,000 VND per month

Specifically, according to Article 4 of this Decree, the standard social assistance from July 1, 2021 is 360,000 VND per month (instead of 270,000 VND per month as previous regulation).

Basing on the budget balance, consumer price index (CPI) and  living situation of the people benefiting from social protection, the competent agency considers and adjusts to increase social assistance rate schedule; ensure the correlation of the policy to the others.

Basing on local socio-economic condition, Provincial People's Committee submit to People's Councils of the same level for making decision:

- The standard level of social assistance and the level of social assistance applicable in the locality must not be lower than the standard level of social assistance and the level of social assistance specified in this Decree;

- Other people with difficult circumstances not being prescribed in this Decree get the benefits from social assistance.

This Decree takes effect from July 1, 2021.
