A fine of up to 10 million dong if you lose money or relief goods

This is the content of Decree 03/2022/ND-CP issued by the Government on January 6, 2022 on regulations on penalties for administrative violations in natural disaster prevention and control; irrigation; dike.

Accordingly, this Decree stipulates a fine of between 5 and 10 million dong for one of the following acts: using improperly that causes loss of money, relief goods or relief goods to the wrong subjects but not yet to the point of criminal responsibility; appropriating relief goods without reaching the level of criminal prosecution; or untimely rescue mission.

The time limit for sanctioning administrative violations applied to individuals in natural disaster prevention and control and irrigation is 01 year; for dyke is 02 years.

In Decree 03/2022, the maximum fine is set at 50 million VND for the field of natural disaster prevention and control; 100 million dong for the dyke field; 250 million VND for the irrigation sector.

The maximum fine level for an organization is equal to 02 times the fine level for an individual, with the same administrative violation.

The Decree takes effect from January 6, 2022.
