Payment instructions for Covid-19 treatment at health center

Accordingly, the payment of expenses for Covid-19 treatment at health center is as follows:

- For public  health center:

+ Comply with Resolution 268/NQ-UBTVQH15. The payment of medical examination and treatment for Covid-19 patients at collection and treatment facilities shall be guaranteed by the state budget according to actual expenses; For patients with Covid-19 who have other diseases, the payment of medical examination and treatment expenses for these diseases must comply with the provisions of the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, the Law on Health Insurance and other relevant laws.

+ In case the Covid-19 collection and treatment facility cannot separate the costs of Covid-19 medical examination and treatment and other diseases for payment from different sources or fails to collect the expenses that the patient has to pay according to regulations due to force majeure causes shall be paid by the state budget based on the Government's regulations.

- For private health center:

+ The payment of expenses for Covid-19 medical examination and treatment at private medical facilities assigned by provincial-level local authorities to receive, manage, take care of and treat Covid-19 shall comply with Decree No. Decision 268/NQ-UBTVQH15 as same as for public health center with the highest payment rate of the provincial general hospital located in the area.

The content of payment for Covid-19 medical examination and treatment costs will be applied from January 1, 2021 anddetailed by the Government.

Resolution 12/2021/NQ-UBTVQH15 takes effect from December 30, 2021.
