Can Covid 19 victim receive a food support of 80,000 VND per day?

25/02/2022

As the number of infections increases every day like now, will Covid 19 victims being treated at home still be supported with food and expenses for Covid-19 examination and treatment? That is a question that many Covid 19 victims are interested in.

According to Decision No. 23/2021/QD-TTg dated 7/7/2021, amended and supplemented by Decision 33/2021/QD-TTg, the policy to support meals for people with Covid-19 (F0) and Persons performing medical isolation (F1) are specified as follows:

- Support for meals at the rate of 80,000 VND/person/day for cases of people being treated for Covid-19 infection (F0), from April 27, 2021 to December 31, 2021, the support period is as actual treatment but no more than 45 days.

- Food support 80,000 VND/person/day for cases of people performing medical isolation (F1) according to decisions of competent authorities, from April 27, 2021 to December 31, 2021, maximum support time 21 days.

The above support policy is only applied until the end of December 31, 2021, so now F1, F0 are no longer supported with 80,000 VND. Therefore, F1 self-isolating, F0 self-treating at home or concentrated treatment at collection facilities all have to pay for their own meals during medical examination and treatment.
