Cancel the festival and fireworks in 2022 Lunar New Year

In order to strengthen measures to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe and thrifty Lunar New Year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposes provinces and centrally-run cities to implement some contents:

- Assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant units in, advising and submitting to the Provincial People's Committee for decision on the temporary suspension of festivals and fireworks during the Lunar New Year.

- Based on the epidemic situation in the locality, organize tourism and sports activities; operate at museums, monuments, libraries, cinemas, and performing arts venues according to Document No. 3862/HD-BVHTTDL dated October 18, 2021 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism guiding the temporarily adapt safely, flexibly, and effectively control the COVID-19 epidemic in cultural, sports and tourism activities.

- The local state management agency is in charge of tourism shall guide tourist zones, attractions, tourism business establishments and tourism services in the locality to take the initiative in formulating plans and plans for organizing tours during the Lunar New Year, ensuring visitors have a happy, healthy and safe Tet.

- Actively guide measures to prevent and control the epidemic in weddings, funerals, grave visitation, and longevity celebrations; organize holidays and anniversaries; entertaiment activities are under the management responsibility of the culture, sports and tourism industries to ensure compliance with the regulations of the health sector in the area under the motto "Safe adaptation, flexible , effectively control the COVID-19 epidemic".

- To step up the propaganda, dissemination and raising of people's sense of self-discipline and law observance in order to implement solutions for economic recovery; regularly warn people not to be subjective or negligent in disease prevention and control; provide complete and timely information, create consensus in society so that people can enjoy Spring and welcome Tet in the new normal.

- Strengthen inspection and supervision of the organization of cultural, sports and tourism activities and festivals before, during and after the Lunar New Year; ensure to serve the people to celebrate Tet in a joyful, healthy and safe manner that is suitable to the customs, traditions and culture of the nation and the COVID-19 situation in each locality.
